The Tiger Moth group at Baragee was invited to do a fly past over Kyalami shortly before the start of the 1971 SA Grand Prix. If my memory serves me correctly, it was organised by Roy Watson, Brian Zeederberg and other members of the Piston Ring Club.

We had 12 Tigers based at Baragee. 5 others from around the Reef came over and we were able to get all of them into the air. A photographer from The Star newspaper took the B&W shots. The coloured ones are mine (Noel Otten).

Anyone viewing this page who was part of this event and can help with information regarding the identities of the 17 DH.82A Tiger Moths that took part in this event please contact me, John Austin-Williams jaws@dehavilland.co.za
