Jef Frost sent the following on 10 January 2012

I restored the plane in the last 5 years. I have been flying it for the last 90 hours.

I bought it from Mike Spence in Krugersdorp in a very unrestored condition; it originally came from the Hottentots Holland Flying club in Cape Town. It was last flown in 1963 were it was damaged. It was the last entry in the original logbook that I received with the aircraft.

The engine number - 360
The frame number - 588

This is the original numbers according to the logbook.

The first entry was as a civil aircraft as in 1951 and was flown by many different owners until it was damaged.

I have re used the original logbook for all my entries since it was re-registered in the LS 1 class. We were very lucky to be able to use the very first civil registration ZS-BEG.

Regards, Jef Frost
